My thesis film about two sisters enjoying a typical afternoon at their grandparents house.
Story &Character Development
This film is a love letter to my family and the nostalgia I feel about early childhood. It’s heavily based on real experiences, right down to the characters names. But I wanted the young characters to feel vibrant and colourful in juxtaposition to the toned down nature of the grandparents and setting.
Creating the
Setting
To truly make the animation stand out, I designed and built an actual physical background, which I photographed and used for the backdrop for the entire film.
